Italeri 1/72 Sd Kfz 231 6-Rad Armoured Car

Brand new, still sealed in plastic bag unbuilt plastic model kit.

This auction is for a brand new kit still sealed.

 

The Sd Kfz 231 first entered service in 1933, based on the standard three axle truck chassis but featuring major new concepts in armoured car design by having a direction changing gearbox, enabling the vehicle to be driven both forward and in reverse in four gears. The 231 formed the backbone of the German Army's Armoured Reconnaissance Corps during the annexation of Austria, Sudentenland, Bohemia, Moravia and the Memels as well as during the Polish and French campaigns. The 231 was armed with a 2cm KwK 30 or 38 and a 7.92mm MG34.

Includes decals for:

  • 2nd Panzer Division, France, May 1940
  • Unknown Unit, Germany 1938
  • Unknown Unit, Poland, September 1939

 

Ideal for wargamming or just building for fun, this is a very straight forward kit to build which goes together very well and has a nice solid feel to it once it's completed. The mouldings are clean and crisp. Not to be missed.
