'Regency' Rim Latch, this is a dual handed traditional cast iron thumb latch. The latch allows the room to be locked from one side only, ideal for bathrooms and bedrooms where privacy is required. It comes complete with safety release to facilitate access from outside the room should the need arise. The delicate beading around the edge of the latch has been extended to the keep to give a unified appearance. 

This is an authentic reproduction, the external design and the internal mechanism has been  made in exactly the same way as a Victorian rim latch. The latch weighs 1 kilogram.

This latch looks great with our Cottage Knobs (see separate listing)

Dimensions: Body - 108mm (h) x 115mm (w), Projection - 27mm

                     Keep - 99mm (h)  x  24mm (w), Projection -  27mm

Distance from  the edge of the door to the centre of the spindle hole is 67mm

As with all of our products, the metal is not lacquered and would normally be left to age in the traditional manner allowing it to show the patina of times gone by.
