Iron Ore

       Here you can obtain one of my latest focal beads. These focal beads are all made using a mixture of Effetre and Vetrofond glass with the help of some wonderful metal effects. I hope you find a bead that can help show off your jewellery. My love for the natural and organic designs is shown off no better than in my focals and I very much hope you enjoy looking at those I list here in the shop.

    This focal bead is fully etched and was made on a 2.4 mm size mandrel giving a hole size of around 3mm, this size hole is preferred by a lot of jewellery makers when using leather cord. The bead is 28mm by 29mm in size, making them ideal for most types of bead jewellery. You will only recieve the bead shown here in the picture. Due to the nature of hand crafted beads you will understand the sizes will always vary a little, but I will always try to give a truthful measurement in my descriptions.

   Like all the beads I make here in my Fenland barn studio, this bead as been all fully kiln annealed in a digital controlled paragon kiln, all my beads are placed into the kiln straight from the flame. After taking my beads from the kiln they are then machine cleaned and washed, giving the buyer the option of using them in their jewellery on arrival.
