Irish Dancing Dress Worn only 4 times.

An Original 'Celtic Gem', Irish Dancing Dress, Two Piece. Made in January 2009 for an English Champion!!!!. Just Beautiful.

Colour is Neon Lime and Black. Aged between 9yrs upwards dependant on your childs size. It is a two piece, with a full length tutu, which has five layers, the actual dress is like a top coat which is zipped from the bottom of the waist upwards, at the back. Has over 700 diamontes attached.

SIZES: Chest: 29 1/2" across, Waist: (Hips - drop waist). 29". Sleeves: Armpit to Wrist: 14". Shoulder to Wrist: 18 1/2". Skirt: length 11". Length from Top of dress to Bottom: 23". (My daughter is 4'5 1/2" and turned 10 in July).

Bodice and Panels are of soft light velvet in Neon Lime colour,  the front of bodice has black sequin applique (from Hong Kong), black embroidery down the front, with clear  crystal diamonte's covering the front. Back of Bodice has two black rainbow sequin scroll applique from (Kentucky), with clear cyrstal diamontes. The sleeves of of lime polyester type material covered with black sequin lace which is scalloped at the wrist. The bodice is lined with cotton white embroidery anglaise for coolness. There is a black sequin belt effect at the waist which separates the top to bottom. Also a diamonte number clip is attached.

The Skirt has five separate panels to the front, two Lime velvet with black embroidery and clear crystal diamontes also panels are edge with black, and three black sequinned panels with lime embroidery and clear crystal diamontes, panels edged with lime. Just at the top of the skirt the panels tops are attached to silver glitterball fabric, but rest of  panels are separate so they move with ease whilst dancing.  At the back of the dress there are four panels. Two either side , these are of the same design as the front panels but not with diamontes. The panels are lined as with the same fabric as the cape, black velvet with silver spots.

The Cape is very unusual, as it is pleated in black velvet glitterball spot fabric (same as panel lining), this is lined with white lace fabric and attaches to the back middle of the dress via velcro.

The Tutu is full length, attached by a vest. which is fastened on the shoulder with a press stud, (step into instead of passing over head with wig). The Tutu itself has five layers. The bottom is Black/silver lace which is edge with black lace, white and green layers of ballet tutu net and two layers of black finely wired tulle net. This is fluffed up prior to the dress being put on.  The tutu really sets the dress off, as you can have it as fluffy as you want.

The great thing about this dress is that it can be taken off with ease in between competitions, for coolness, and slipped back on again in a hurry!!!

This dress is just stunning, a lot of love, sweat, tears and energy went into designing this beautiful dress. It has great stage presence, The pictures do not do this dress justice.

Also included is a pair of Neon lime lycra pants, these have only recently been bought and only worn twice. They are a size small.

This dress was made for my daughter in January 2009, and she has only worn it four times. She has now left her present dance school and is unable to compete until next summer. Hence the sale of the dress!!!!!

This dress/costume is in excellent condition, and is kept in a plastic covering and in a secure suitcase at all times.
