Like any heavy rockers worth their Marshalls, they have roots in the likes of Led Zep and early Metallica. Beyond that, the closest parallel might be the spare, artful way that Helmet utilized heavy riffs and rhythms a decade earlier. BURN IT BLACK is sledgehammer hard rock pared down to the bare essentials; no posing, pretensions, or excessive angst. Plenty of attitude comes through on these unrelenting tunes full of grinding guitars and pounding drums, but like the songs, the attitude consistently rings true. Nasty, angry, and confident, but nobody's fools; that's Injected on BURN IT BLACK.
