Our Cabins feature CarbonFlex heating panels which have the largest surface area of any IR sauna currently available. All cabins come as standard with Canadian Hemlock hardwood panelling inside and out, halogen lighting inside and out, interior colour light therapy, CD/AM/FM stereo with remote control and internal and external control panels for time, temperature, lights and colour therapy.
The Saunas are modular and clip together making assembly (and dismantling) very simple. All the cabins simply plug into a standard household socket.
INFRARED CABINS vs TRADITIONAL SAUNAS
The electromagnetic spectrum includes gamma rays, X-rays, ultraviolet, visible, infrared, microwave and radio waves. The only difference between the rays is their wavelength frequency.
All these rays travel at the speed of light. Infrared can be found between the visible and microwave portions of the eloctromagnetic spectrum. The waves have wavelengths longer than the visible and shorter than the microwaves.
When an object is not quite hot enough to radiate visible light, it will emit most of its energy in the infrared, ie: hot coals do not give off light but does emit infared rays which we feel as heat. We experience infrared every day. The heat thet we feel from sunlight, a fire, a radiator is infared. Although our eyes cannot see it, the nerver in our skin can feel it as heat.
Conventional saunas rely on indirect heat to heat the human body. Firstly the air is heated the hot air then has direct contact with the skin to produce its heating of our bodies. In an infrared sauna, less than 20% of the infrared energy heats the air, leaving the remaining 80% to directly transform to heat within the human body. Infrared saunas warm the users to a deeper level and more efficiently than a conventional sauna. This is what makes the infrared sauna more health beneficial compared to a tradional sauna.
