India Indian doll in sari costume native dress

This doll seems to be fully cloth stuffed head to toe. She is wearing a pink silklike sari with embroidery along all edges and stitched onto the body. She has two red bangle bracelets. Her face is painted on quite nicely. She stands about 10 inches tall.

Dolls are from a child’s collection from the 1950s and 1960s. So vintage is at least 50 years old or more. They have been stored and unplayed-with for decades. We are not representing them as pristine and perfect. Flaws are mentioned in the descriptions. We did not attempt to iron any of the delicate dresses or scarves. Some parts such as shoes or hats may be missing or might not have been present.

We also do not know what materials these dolls are made of, so our descriptions are basic and only guesses. We do know the provenance, and these were collected by world travelers and given as gifts to grandchildren.
