 On offer is this lovely shohin sized imported and shaped Chinese Elm bonsai.The Chinese Elm is an informally shaped tree potted in a glazed ceramic pot measuring 15cm in length-the tree is approx 21cm from the base of the trunk to the tip in height, and I have found that this particular size of Elm is definitely one of the loveliest being larger than the others. The Chinese Elm is undoubtedly the most popular tree for bonsai as they are so forgiving and tolerant of a variety of conditions. The best aspect though to my mind is that they can be kept either indoors or outdoors, being hardy. If kept indoors in a sunny position they should retain their leaves throughout winter, while if kept outdoors they will lose their leaves during autumn/winter. This is the ideal type of tree for begginers as they can tolerate fairly low watering conditions as well and are quite hard to kill. The branching is detailed enough also to practise pruning and they are vigorous growers in spring-this one is still growing healthily. The one on offer is either the one pictured or very similar, almost identical to the one pictured, and all these imported Elms are of exceptional quality. These are ideal trees for presents for anyone wishing to start out on bonsai, and are excellent value for money.
