SPECIAL EDITION BAKELITE TELEPHONE TO COMMEMORATE THE CORONATION OF GEORGE VI ON 12TH MAY 1937.

THIS ISSUSE OT TELEPHONE HAS THE ADDED RED CREST OF GPO TO THE STAINLESS STEEL MIRRORED HINGE.

THE TELEPHOHE HAS THE DATE OF PL37 ON THE HANDSET.PL38 ON THE BASE PLATE.

THE CASING HAS A CRACK ON THE LEFT CORNER, NOT REALLY NOTICEABLE. THE HANDSET HAS A COUPLE OF HAIRLINE CRACKS,

AND THE CRADLE IS ALSO CHIPPED.

AND A SMALL PIECE MISSING FROM CORNER OF DRAW FRONT. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS.

THE HANDSET CORD IS BRAIDED WITH VERY SLIGHT WEAR. THE HANDSET IS SLIGHTLY FADED, DUE TO THE 72 YEARS OF UV LIGHT.

THE DIAL IS ALPHA/NUMERIC ENAMELED STAINLESS STEEL AND WORKS SMOOTHLY.

IT HAS BEEN CONVERTED TO PSTN WITH THE ADDITION OF A LINE CORD.
