The placing of an order expresses acceptance of our Terms And Conditions of business. These Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a customer.

DIY Towbars will not be liable for any delay or inconvenience caused should Parcelforce be unable to deliver because a signature was unavailable, or where an incomplete and / or incorrect postal address has been provided. All goods are fully insured in transit. Any items received damaged should be signed for as ‘damaged’ to enable a claim to be made.
DIY Towbars does not accept responsibility for incorrect installation of equipment. All equipment should be installed and connected in accordance with the supplied fitting instructions. If you are in any doubt we would recommend the use of a competent fitter.
DIY Towbars does not accept responsibility for the modification and misuse of products. If a product appear mechanically defective DIY Towbars should be contacted immediately prior to installation. DIY Towbars does not accept responsibility for damage to any equipment where products supplied are used for any purpose other than those for which they are specifically designed. This includes, but is not limited to, the towing of anything which has a gross weight above that recommended by the towbar manufacturer and the vehicle manufacturer. DIY Towbars will not be liable for any damage and abuse to vehicles by impact, neglect or vandalism. DIY Towbars will not be responsible for damage caused where there is a failure to carry out reasonable adjustment and maintenance. Reasonable adjustment and maintenance includes, but is not limited to, the following:
i. the checking of bolts every 3000 towing miles or every six months, whichever is the sooner; ii. the periodical painting of towbars to prevent corrosion; iii. the checking, every six months, of the battery and alternator of the vehicle to determine correct functioning; iv. the periodical checking of the earth and tap connectors of the electrical installation for mechanical soundness and electrical quality; v. the periodical checking of plugs, sockets, relays and fixings for water ingress and mechanical soundness. |
