Brand new in box - I bought this to use as a network backup store but it never got used as I built a a home server/media p.c. instead! The packaging is a bit damaged as it sat in a cupboard for a while, but everything is brand new and everything is in the box and it is in great condition.

The unit is fantastic and is made from a solid chunk of aluminium - the build quality is fantastic and the looks are the best of any external / network storage I have seen.

File transfers are fast thanks to gigabit LAN and the easy to use web interface and easy access via windows and mac should have you up and running in minutes (My dad bought one of these and I set it up for him and I bought one for myself shortly afterwards!). You can also run one of these as a versatile home media server or print server too. (They are mac and windows compatible. There are also guides on the net for using it as a time capsule with samba - much cheaper than buying an actual TimeCapsule from apple!

This unit has the v1.2 board and I believe the latest firmware will allow up to 2TB drives (giving 4TB of storage!!) and you can run in RAID 0 or 1 (Mirror or span), or JBOD and a variety of disc file systems are supported.

Postage will be by courier, usually sent via TNT or UPS and they normally they deliver next day but this is not a guaranteed-time service. I always make an effort to despatch my items within a day or two of payment.
