This laptop had not been used for a while and I've loaed the latest version of Ubuntu (linux) to test it out - see picture.  It works fine although it does require a new cmos battery as it errors at start up and requires the date being set each time you power on - these are approx a fiver on eBay.  If you wanted to keep ubuntu you'd probably have to tweek it a little, but the basics seem to be fine Word processing, etc.  I've also upgraded it with a 20gb hard disk drive.

It comes complete with:

  • Power supply
  • Battery.  Not tested, but assume that it holds little/no charge as it's quite old.
  • CD drive
  • Floppy drive - remember those?
  •  EtherLink III Lan PC Card and adapter.

A: Hi. Generally the condition is good. There are some scuffs and scratches, but it does not look like it's been abused. Hope this helps.
