We have installed a version of Linux called Ubuntu on this laptop. This is to test its functionality. We will ship the laptop with Ubuntu installed. However, we do not offer any technical support for the operating system. These machines are second user and not brand new, although the machines are in good condition.

All items come with a 30-day Return-to-base warranty, and we will always do our best to rectify any problems as quickly as possible.

You are bidding on a second user IBM ThinkPad T61 Laptop that has been tested by our technicians and is in complete working order.

There may be some light scratching to the laptop case, however the rest of the cosmetics are in very good condition.

A lot of items are kept in such companies stock as back-up units and are sometimes never used! With this in mind, some items that we advertise are sold "As New". However we are not selling them as "Retail boxed brand new" because this may not be the case! Some boxes may have been opened, have tatty packaging or have marks on the boxes where address labels have been removed.

The condition of the packaging would only affect you if you were intending to re-sell this item. If you are going to use this item yourself then the packaging is cosmetic etcetera.

Terms & Conditions

All prices are inclusive of VAT at the rate of 15% This includes carriage because we use a VAT registered courier company - not the Royal Mail. Please do not bid and then ask for a different carriage method.

If payment is made before 3pm then we will always strive to get the item sent to you for the next working day (if payment is made over the weekend then the item should arrive on Tuesday). However this cannot always be guaranteed.

The delivery of all goods requires a signature at the delivery address so please ensure that somebody will be available to sign for the goods (we can send to an alternative address such as a work address if this helps?). Delivery will take place any time between 9 and 5.30pm.

If no one is available to sign for the goods, the address will be carded and a re-delivery attempted the following day. If there is still no one available then the item will be held at your local depot for 24 hours for collection, after which it will be sent back to us (at a cost). We would then require a further carriage and handling payment to send the item again.

Items that are not collected will not be refunded.
