About IBM Flexview (IPS) Display
|
 The Flexview LCD display is exclusively used on selected Lenovo(IBM)'s high end T-series ThinkPad laptop (usually P models, e.g. T42p, T43p, T60p). It features the IPS (In-Plane Switching) technology, which provides wide viewing angles (the display can literally be seen from all angles with no color distortions and minimal loss of contrast), better contrast (making the whites brighter and the blacks darker) and richer colors overall than the regular laptop screens.
Flexview (IPS) technology is only available on IBM ThinkPads with 15" SXGA+ and 15" UXGA displays, e.g. A31p, R50p, T42p, T43p, T60p and a few T60 models. Since Lenovo has decided to stop manufacturing Flexview display, ThinkPad T60/T60p are actually the last two models which have Flexview screen.

| ATI has introduced a break-through technology called HyperMemory™ to take mainstream graphics performance to new levels of affordability and ensure that everyone can enjoy the ultimate visual experience.
ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 in this T60p comes with 128MB dedicated video ram. It can use up to 512MB hypermemory to make more efficient use of all the available memory in computers with PCI Express® technology.

The three photos below show how XGA, SXGA and SXGA+ display a 1400x1050 photo without resizing (compressing):
- XGA can only displace the top left part of the photo;
- SXGA displays a much larger field than XGA, but loses some details on the right and on the bottom;
- SXGA+ displays the entire photo without losing a pixel.
It means you don't need to compress the photo (and therefore reducing the quality of a photo) before you can see the entire field of the photo on T60p's SXGA+ monitor.

Conditions of the Laptop
|
|
What you are looking at is a legendary IBM ThinkPad T60p laptop in very good conditions. It features fast Intel® Core Duo T2600 2.16GHz dual core processor, discrete ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 graphics card with 128MB dedicated graphics memory, high performance and extremely quiet 7200rpm hard drive and a beautiful 4:3 15" SXGA+ IPS Flexview screen.
This T60p has been used for some time in the past but has never given any problem. As it would be expected from a used machine, it has tear and wear on the edge of the screen cover and base cover. The base cover also has a small crack in the rear (click here to view the crack in picture), however, it does not affect any function of the laptop. The high resolution IPS flexview screen is in top condition with no dead pixel, pressure mark or scratch. We did a thorough test and comfirmed it is a fully working and clean machine with no potential issue.
This T60p comes with a 90W AC power adapter with UK 3 pin plug and a genuine and tested working 6 cell Lithium-ion battery. Windows XP operating systems and all the other bundle softwares, drivers and utilities are stored in ThinkPad Hidden Service Partition in the hard drive. There is no original packing box. The laptop will be securely wrapped before shipping.
The laptop is sold with valid and transferable warranty from IBM/Lenovo.
