IAN DURY; “THE UPMINSTER KID” You are bidding for a 1st run review VHS copy made directly from the production company’s master tape of the acclaimed IAN DURY documentary “THE UPMINSTER KIDD.” This 30 minute documentary profile about the life and music of one of Britain’s favourite and best rock stars, was only ever transmitted once on British television, and about one hundred review copies were made for journalists , DJs for review purposes, and for those who appeared in the programme. Among who were,members of his groups the BLOCKHEADS, and KILBURN AND THE HIGH ROADS.The documentary focusses upon his early days at art school, through PUB ROCK and the begiinings of his time with STIFF when he first found real fame with HIT ME WITH YOU RHYTHM STICK. It features great footage of the KILBURNS and the BLOCKHEADS performing live, interviews of IAN DURY from Radio and television, and a soundtrack of supurb tracks many never heard before this programme was aired. After moving office a small number of original VHS review copies were found in storage and this is what is being offered here.
