The bigger the second number goes the smaller the model

Compared to the real version

So real version = 1:1

A half size model = 1:2

1:43 is a popular size for cars

So if real one = 4300 mm [4.3M] –  {14’ / foot }

Model would = 100mm or 0.1M {=1:43^rd scaled model} { 4” inches }

A 1:24 scale would be Nearly twice that size

1:72 is very close to 00 {railways}
