Humber A RIB inflatable boat, with engines and trailer

This RIB is a Humber Alpha, and is 4.8mtr long. I have used it for many years and it is still in superb condition. I have used it for island hopping on Scotland’s west coast; I have used it extensively for diving, fishing and waterskiing. It will do 30 knots in perfect conditions, and will cruise all day at 20 – 25 knots. It will take 4 divers and a driver with ease, 5-6 adults with easy and is great fun with just a couple of adults and couple of kids on board. Two up it easily pulls a skier or boarder. I am only selling up as I now don’t have the space for it and my children are not interested in boating anymore. It will fit in a domestic single garage but has a full size, custom made cover if it is to be stored outside. It is a combination of garaged and covered storage that has kept the boat and engines in good condition. It is a light weight unit and easily towed behind a small car.

Its tubes have absolutely no leaks, no patches and I am confident that it will stay inflated fully all year. It has heavily re-enforced tube tops, for diving and fishing. The hull is in excellent condition , with only a couple of minor scrapes. The hull has an auto self bailer. It is powered by twin 30 hp mariner engines, both are manual start, again for safety. They are easy and reliable starters. These were both serviced last year and I have an additional service kit for both included.  I have done everything possible to make my boating as safe as possible and have duplicated all systems. This includes twin engines, twin fuel tanks, both were renewed last year, twin throttles, twin VHF radios, three GPS. Any engine could fail and the system will still get me home. If everything was to fail it also has paddles. It has twin anchors and anchor lines. The colour plotter GPS is new as of last year as is the  fish finder echo sounder. Together these cost over £1000. There is a battery under the seat which is charged from one engine. This is flat and will need re charged. It is two years old.

The trailer has had its bearings replaced last year and they have just been re adjusted. On the front of the trailer, where the jockey wheel is normally found we have a complete hub and bearing. This acts as a spare system and also has a spare wheel attached. This makes launching and recovering over sand and gravel easy, it does not dig in!
