Own Hull FC player Paul King's match worn away shirt from the 2009 season. The shirt is a size XL and is made from a material called Xeneth.Paul King is Hull FC’s longest serving player. He made his debut in March 1998 and since then he has made over 230 appearances for the club and has earned international recognition. He made his Great Britain debut against France at the end of the 2001 season and has been 18th man for GB on numerous occasions. King’s service to his hometown club has been continuous and that earned him a Testimonial. Sadly, Paul fell victim to injury in the 2008 season breaking his ankle in Hull FC’s nail biting 28-28 draw against the Catalans Dragons in Perpignan. Until the injury, which saw him sidelined for the remainder of the season, Paul showed enough form to warrant Hull FC extending his contract for one year, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2009 season. Paul suffers from claustrophobia, but he controls his illness well and lives a normal life. An impact player, King has the power to break any defensive line. He has a good football brain, excellent hands, and many feel he is really a scrum half in a prop’s body. When in form he is a vital cog in the Hull FC machine, and is a formidable challenger that no opposing player enjoys facing. |
