Offered here is King Balthazar kneeling with his gift of Myrrh for the baby Jesus in a wooden box. He is part of the best carved Nativity scene I have ever seen, and I've seen a few over the years. They are hand carved in Switzerland by a company that has been making the same figures since 1915. Each character is based on a real person in the village at the time the company was founded. The figures have been skilfully painted with a light wash finish to enhance and bring out the beauty of the wood (Lime)

King Balthazar is 10cm tall.
