Item is a Hornby limited edition Flying Scotsman produced under the Millennium edition run.  Only 2000 of these were made and this particular item comes with the original certificate of authentication identifying it as number 1742.

Train is in excellent condition and has never been used or taken out of the box.  Has been treated as a collector's piece due to the fine craftmanship and gold plating.  Presentation box is in excellent condition and includes original disclaimers regarding use and operational instructions.
