Having just become the proud owner of a Kawasaki VN1500 (item ref 220498864371) I now have for sale my 1997 Police Pan European. I am assuming that if you're reading this you don't want a lecture on Pan European comfort and reliability, other than to say that I have owned this bike for just under a year and it has been totally reliable. Originally a police bike, at some point it has been professionally resprayed black and the V5 has been updated to reflect this. Overall I would describe it as a good bike for the year, but it does not come without its flaws. The collector box will need replacing before the next MOT. It runs fine but is badly corroded at the joint with the silencers. The silencers themselves were less than a year old when I bought the bike and are in very good condition. Upon inspection, there is also a small hole in the centre of the swing arm, about the size of a pea and one of the fork seals is leaking. There is no key for the panniers although they do lock to the bike with the ignition key and everything works as it should do. The offside mirror cover is broken and has been taped together. There are general stone chips and scratches to be expected on a bike of this age. The worst areas are the panniers and mirror covers. Hopefully I've been clear on the condition and would describe it as a good example for the year. The bike was MOTd in May and had a new set of tyres and new brake pads all round. I've done about 2000 miles since so there's plenty left in them. It starts and rides as it should and with the exception of the collector box no apparent problems. Tax ran out at the end of October and the bke is now on SORN, but the MOT isn't due until May 2010. I would have happily kept the Pan, but I fell in love with the VN back in 98 and couldn't resist the chance to own one. I'll upload some more pictures on Sunday when it's hopefully a little brighter. Viewing is recommended and welcome, please contact me through ebay. Please feel free to ask any questions. I don't need another bike, so no p/x please. Payment options to be discussed, but basically when I have the money you can have the bike. The bike will remain for sale until I receive payment, or at least a substantial deposit. And finally, thanks for looking. On 23-Oct-09 at 21:30:31 BST, seller added the following information:
