This is my CB500 Trackbike. I built it with the intentions of racing this year in the CB500 Cup, but I had a motorcycle accident on the road in January & am unable to ride at any type of pace on track. It's a 1996 Drum Brake model, but has been converted to the later rear disc. I believe that this is the "more powerful" Japanese engine, but don't quote me. The front brake has also been fitted with the later "Brembo" set up & front & rear have been fitted with Goodridge steel hoses (The front hose is brand new) Has Renthal Low Handlebars with Renthal Soft Handgrips Spare set of Wheels with Discs & New BT090 Tyres fitted Spare set of Wet Tyres I also Have a 1998 Crashed bike, which is virtually complete. I have taken the swingarm, rear wheel & front brake off this for the Track Bike (Cat B so cant be put on the road) which would be ideal for spares.
The bike hasn't really turned a wheel since January, but I have changed the plugs, oil & filter a couple of weeks ago (I was supposed to have done a trackday at Mallory Park) So she is ready to go straight out on track. I have most of the road gear & the V5, so this could be put back on the road if need be. It is showing 30000 miles on the clock, I know this to be correct as I know the history of the bike since it was new. I have only done 2 track days at Oulton Park on it, so not many additional miles at all.
Will accept cheques, but they will have to clear before winning bidder collects the bike. Is advertised elsewhere, so reserve the right to end the auction early.
If you live anywhere other than the U.k, dont bother bidding you will be wasting my time as well as yours (If you know what I mean).
