A luxury Scandinavian designed holiday lodge

New purpose built lodge less than a mile from a fantastic beach. Built with families in mind, it is a real home from home with all the comforts you would expect of a luxury holiday home and a few extras! From the 42" wall mounted plasma tv to the Smeg range it all says "quality".

House setting The house is detached and on a large plot, surrounded by enclosed gardens. It is on the outskirts of a small village, part of a small estate which includes 10 unique wooden houses individually designed and imported from Finland. We are across the road from Druridge Bay Country Park and just under 1 mile from Druridge Bay Beach.

• Kitchen  A deck surrounds the house on 2 sides and the kitchen leads from this deck. It has wooden floors, a hand made table comfortably seating 6+; a microwave, fridge, dishwasher, Smeg Range and a sofa to chat to the cook from! All utensils are supplied from a gravy boat to a garlic press. We also have picnic items and outdoor eating plates, glasses etc for using in the garden. Leading from the kitchen is a seperate utility area with washing machine, drinks cooler, highchair and cleaning utensils.

• Hallway A large hallway leads into a coats cupboard filled with beach and garden toys and a downstairs shower room with shower, toilet and sink.

• Lounge The lounge has 2 very big leather Barker and Stonehouse sofas, TV with Freeview, DVD player, CD player with IPOD dock and a large desk. We have free WIFI with unlimited useage. There is also a selection of maps, guidebooks, board games, DVDs for all ages and binoculars to borrow

• Bedroom 1 The master suite is very light and airy and has a large balcony for lazy mornings. It has a kingsize wooden sleigh bed, chest of drawers and fitted wardrobes. Leading from the room is an ensuite bathroom with a multi-jet shower, sink and toilet. You can lay in bed and enjoy Freeview TV on the wall mounted 42" plasma TV.

• Bedroom 2 Has a kingsize bed, a wardrobe with drawer and a selection of books. It also has an unusual light feature.

• Bedroom 3 Has wooden twin beds, a large wardrobe with drawer and a TV with a Video player and a selection of videos for all ages.

• Family Bathroom The third bathroom has a lovely skylight to watch the stars from the bath, a shower over the bath, sink and toilet.

• Children We are very keen that families can enjoy the house together-if the kids are happy you can relax! We have a highchair, step, Mamas and Papas travel cot, stairgates (on request) large selection of plastic plates, cups, bowls and cutlery. More to your children's delight we have lots of toys, games, books, dressing up clothes, garden games and even their own wooden pirate themed playhouse in the garden.

• Garden We have off street parking for 2 cars. The garden is fenced and has a large decked area with table and chairs. We have a herb garden with a bistro table and chairs. There is a large flat grassed area, perfect for cricket, boules or football. At the rear of the house we have a wooden children's playhouse with it's own deck. It has a pirate theme and has dressing up clothes, books and toys for lots of imaginative play.

• Dogs This is perfect dog-walking country. The beach alone stretches for enough miles to wear out the most energetic pooch and has great views of Coquet Island and the lighthouse for the humans. We are happy to accept well-behaved dogs but do confine them to the kitchen/utility area of the house.

When booking you may pay the balance with paypal, you will then be contacted for all your booking details and be given a copy of our booking conditions. We require a cheque dated the first day of your holiday for £100 which will be returned unbanked as long as the house and garden are left undamaged and in the condition you found it and all the keys are returned. We have never yet had to cash a cheque but this encourages all visitors to treat the house with respect and to keep it in perfect condition for all our guests to enjoy.
