Description

Asia is famous for our hand-drawn batik. Hand-drawn batik is where designs are drawn on white fabric with hot liquid wax; using a metal object called tjanting (pronounced "chanting"). When the wax outlines are done, colorful dyes are painted in. And then the fabric is boiled to remove the wax. This whole process is repeated again and again depending on how complex the whole design is. That is why each piece of batik is unique. It's ART and you can wear it!

This is a piece of hand-dyed batik fabric kaftan. Have you ever thought of wearing ART? Now you can! This kaftan is hand-dyed, so NO TWO PIECES ARE THE SAME. That makes it truly ORIGINAL. Tie-dye textures in vibrant colors. Tie-Dye textures in each poncho may vary a little.

Loose and comfy, this kaftan is suitable for any occasion! Tie-Dye design FRONT and BACK. Please refer to picture for more details. As with all hand-painted items, some irregularities and dye smearing may occur.

Beschreibung

Asia ist beruehmt fuer sein traditionelles Batik-Handwerk. Die Bilder werden mit fluessigem Wachs auf weissen Stoff aufgetragen und zwar mit dem Tjanting, einem Kupferkaennchen am Stiel mit kleiner wachsgefuellter Ausflusstuelle. Wenn die Umrisse mit Wachs gezeichnet sind, wird der Stoff gefaerbt. Anschliessend wird er gekocht, um das Wachs wieder zu entfernen. Der gesamte Prozess wird wieder und wieder wiederholt, je nachdem wie komplex das gesamte Muster ist. Aus diesem Grund ist jedes gebatikte Kleidungsstueck ein Unikat. Es ist KUNST und Sie koennen sie tragen!
