In an earlier embodiment Hilarion was Saul of Tarsus, but after meeting Jesus on the road to Damascus he became Paul the apostle. Hilarion was a great mystic who spent 20 years in the desert preparing for his mission, and then healed thousands of people. He died in A.D. 371. Lord of the fifth ray, the green ray of healing, wholeness, precipitation and truth, Hilarion may be called upon at any time to assist. © Artist Marius Michael-George.  

Ascended masters are people--ordinary people like you and me--who became so aware of their oneness with God that the physical body itself became immortal, divine light. They were able to "step through" from the
physical plane to a lighter dimension of life, taking their body with them.

Most then joined the Great White Brotherhood/Sisterhood of Light, serving humanity. There are a number of ascended master "retreats" on Earth where they work, the most famous being Shambhala. But there are at least two major ascended master retreats in the United States--one in Mt.
Shasta and the other in the Grand Teton Mountains of Wyoming.
Some ascended masters let the physical body die--their choice at the time, though not a necessary one--such as Yogananda, Ramana Maharshi, and Godfre Ray King.

Some of the ascended masters we know best are Jesus and Mary, St. Germain, El Morya, Kuthumi and Djwal Khul.
