These are a boxed pair of Heybrook Heylette standmount monitor speakers, they are a 2 way bi-wireable system.
I am hoping to move house soon so need to clear the stuff from my loft, garage and office that I will never in reality do anything with. I had kept these as a spare pair of speakers for a system that I never put together.
The speakers are in superb condition which hopefully can be seen in the pictures. They are rated at 88db for sensitivity with around a 75w rating at 6 ohms.
As for the important bit they sound as you would expect for a better quality British speaker refined and smooth, being stand mounters they perform at their best in a monitor environment, they don’t really have the girth to fill a large room. As well as pretty accomplished hifi speakers they actually make superb surround speakers for an AV system and please see the matching Heybrook Heylo floor standers I have which could double as the front units in a quality AV system.
I always start my auctions at £1 and never set a reserve, my philosophy being that an items current value has no bearing on the price I paid for it when purchased, I have had the enjoyment of using and or tinkering with it and therefore feel whatever the items end bid price at the end of the auction is it’s fair market value, so if that is less than I paid for it then so be it.
Because of the above philosophy I do not end auctions early under any circumstance so please do not ask as refusal can sometimes offend. But I will always try to answer any other questions so please feel free to ask away.
I will always try where possible to recycle packaging from items I have bought and will only charge the actual cost of postage no packing or “it didn’t reach the price I thought so I will put a bit on the postage” fees. That said I do much prefer collection by the buyer or am happy to deliver within most of Kent, Sussex and South east London for petrol costs or to meet halfway work schedule allowing. For fragile items such as turntables collection is my ideal way of the buyer getting hold of their new purchase, this cuts out the risk of the item however well packed getting kicked around the back of a container lorry by a less than careful courier and arriving in a rather dishevelled condition.
I am an enthusiast/magpie/collector and not a dealer so the items I sell are things that I have either upgraded from, bought as a project and probably not finished or things I just could not resist or leave alone but never really used and are therefore second hand and used. On that note I can not always find suitable packaging at auction end so it can take a day or two for me to get an item packed and shipped.
All my items are in Kent, England and I am happy to ship to anywhere in the world at the buyers cost and risk but please ask for a postage quote because heavy items tend to cost a lot to ship and it can cause real problems at auction end when the buyer is faced with a large shipping cost that they did not factor in when bidding because of not asking for a quote, also I will always get a price for insurance unless it is included and it is the buyers choice whether they do not take out the insurance.
I prefer payment by Paypal, I am going to spend it on more shiny things anyway and it just makes life easier, but I can accept UK postal orders or UK cheques in GB pounds, or if really pushed International money orders in GB pounds that are draw able on a UK bank, any of these take time to clear so I will not ship until the funds have cleared. Or as a last resort I can accept Cash in GB Pounds, US Dollars or Euros, but any cash sent through the post is at the buyers risk and is not really recommended.
