CONTENTS: A history of the Dutch East Indies from the first arrival of the Dutch in the region, through the career of Governor General Jan Pieterszoon Coen (1587-1629) upto 1873. The work is illustrated with 20 attractive colour lithographic plates of scenery, buildings, and potrait plates of notable Dutch figures, plus a folding colour map of Indonesia. Aside from a small piece missing to the top edge of one page, the volume is in very good condition. All text in Dutch.
