Hester Bateman Sterling Silver Serving Spoon

Made at her workshop in Bunhill Row, London 1779.

A Georgian Sterling Silver Serving Spoon.  Made in London, in 1779, by Hester Bateman.  Bottom marled and Free from engraving.

Condition:

The Marks:  OK.

The Spoon:  Fair.  There is some wear, dinks and bends to the bowl and a bend in the stem.

  • Lion passant 
  • Date letter d
  • Leopards head 

Length:   Eight and a half inches  21.5cm

Weight:  1.960ounces                   55.7grams
