A Very Good Georgian Sterling Silver Meat Skewer.  Made in London, in 1789, by Hester Bateman.  A Charming Neck Ring Meat Skewer  Free from engraving.  Well here you have a masterclass in design, the ring is removed from the shank of the skewer in a most attractive manner giving the skewer Hester's stamp of absolute undertsanding of form in her medium. How much has she done, hardly anything, how much difference does it make, it makes a meat skewer charming .                  

Condition:

The Marks:  Makers mark very rubbed, but clearly hers, others good. 

The Skewer:  Very Good.  Normal surface scratches.
