Made at her Bunhill Row Workshop, in London c1775.

A Superb Georgian Sterling Silver Decanter Label.  Made in London, c1775, by Hester Bateman.  A Charming Crescent shaped Label with an Urn and Garland Surmount.  Hand engraved 'PORT' with a Bright Cut Border.  As with all of Hester's work it has been made to the highest quality. The brightcut engraved decoartion is very good quality with the facets being well defined. Serated tops of engraved facets well defined and showing well. Balance of form and style superb. This label made to sit on round decanter,possibly her rarest and best design. A Very Early and interesting Hester Bateman label so quite probaly from her own hand.
