Hester Bateman Sterling Silver Basting Spoons Made at her workshop in Bunhill Row, London 1788. A Very Good Pair of Georgian Sterling Silver Basting Spoons. Made in London, in 1788, by Hester Bateman. Two Charming Old English Pattern Basting Spoons. Both engraved to the terminal with the initial F. These spoons demonstrate her usual superb balance of form and proportion. Really stunning a pleasure to hold. David Shure Book Plate XXX1 Condition: The Marks: Good. Makers mark on one very worn, but still readable. The Spoons: Good. Some pinprick dinks in one otherwise no splits, dents or repairs. Hallmarks:
