Herpa Wings/C&C 1:500 MN81006 British Caledonian B747

This C&C 1:500 scale model is of a Boeing B747-211B in the 1970s colours of British Caledonian.   The aircraft carries the registration G-NIGB 

C&C are a mildly mysterious Far Eastern Company that has produced a range of models in very limited (below 300) numbers. Theoretically only 200 of each model are produced but it appears that a few more have recently appeared. The quality compares favourably with the early new generation Herpa Wings models and despite the knocking copy from certain sources, C&C have produced a range of the less obvious airlines and models. They were the forerunners of Netmodels I believe.  This model is now very seldom offered
