I had to end the auction early and relist it because I neglected to enter a reserve amount.
Up for auction is a 1921 Bronze by German artist Hermann Geibel (1889 - 1972). It stands 17 3/4" high on a 7" diameter marble base and weighs 18 pounds. There is a small chip at the very bottom of the base (pictured), but no other damage or wear.
According to artnet.com, recent auctions of Geibel bronzes sold for $1861 in 1999, $1534 in 2005 and $1728 in 2006. My reserve is much lower, and will not be disclosed during the auction.
Buyer will be charged actual cartoning and shipping charges based on final destination. Also, insurance must be purchased by the winning bidder, no exceptions. International bidders will receive final shipping and handling charges (including insurance) from seller after shipping address is determined at auctions end.
A Paypal account is required, and a $100.00 deposit is to be sent within 24 hours of auctions end. The balance is due within 7 days via wire transfer or certified funds. Buyer has the option of Paypal for full payment at auction's end. Personal checks are accepted for US bidders, but will be held for 7 business days from receipt.
I will not ship without insurance. If you do not agree to this, please do not bid. Thank you for understanding.
