TIKI TOTEM 63" - KANE & LONO - TROPICAL ACCENTS GARDEN DECOR

This is a hand carved Tiki depicting the Gods Kane and Lono. Each of our statues has been carefully hand carved in Hawaii by an experienced artist and features realistic facial features.  Great attention has been paid to color and detail. This carving has good definition and a beautiful aged, antique look with a smooth patina.

    According to archeologists, tikis were a symbol of power, both religious and political to the Polynesian Islands. The large features and powerful presence is believed  to ward off evil spirits. For centuries,  tiki statues have been a form of communication across all cultures. They replicate human nature and depict a part of what we all are.   In Polynesian culture it is believed that the tiki god was within the spirit of the statue.   Whether statues have hypnotic powers that can protect us from the world of the spirits is intriguing... this is certainly  a very dramatic piece.

This substantial tiki statue would be great for a tropical decor theme, as garden art or by your pool.   Also perfect for your tiki bar or hawaiian luau to add a polynesian atmosphere!
