12"  HAND CARVED in HAWAII  SCORPION TIKI BOWL

This beautifull hand carved scorpion bowl features a traditional bowl, flanked by 3 Tiki Gods. 

Most Hawaiian bowls and platters were undecorated. However, a few carved dishes have been preserved showing human figures holding a platter or bowl. This platter shows an effigy of Ku, Tiki of strength, war and healing.

PROVENANCE: Hawaii


This Scorpion Tiki bowl,  measures 12 inches long and 8 inches high. This bowl  is made of Acacia (Monkey Pod) wood and has been stained to a rich walnut color.

This unique piece of Hawaiiana  is beautiful as a center piece and perfect as a kava or volcano bowl in your tiki bar.
