Goracoin Terms of Sale

I aim to please, as you may gather from my feedback!

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about a listing, or problems with an order!

You agree to the following terms of sale by purchasing an item from me:

☺☺Insurance and Shipping☺☺:

I always try to send things out on the same day or at least within two or three days of receiving an order, and that is my usual schedule for shipments.

As soon as I mail an item, I always use the ebay “contact buyer” button to send you an email letting you know that it is on its way.

If you have special packaging instructions and/or prefer to pay extra for special shipping or insurance, please let let me know before you checkout, and I will be happy to oblige by emailing an ebay invoice with the desired insurance/shipping charge.

Insurance is included in shipping on individual items wherever noted in the listings, and on sales totalling over $20.

For lower priced items, the buyer can request and pay for postal insurance, or accept the risk of loss or damage.

IMPORTANT

Being seasonally employed in the outdoors during winter (roughly late November through March), I can only get to the bank and post office once or twice a week during the winter months to send out Insured orders.  Unfortunately, I am required by circumstances to earn part of my living by becoming employed in the wintertime (and I’m more than happy to be employed)!

Our local post office sales counter closes at 4, and the lobby at 4:30pm, too early for me to reach after work!  I get off work after 4 and cannot transact any business at the post office because of its hours.  In this part of the country, it sometimes takes fifteen minutes or more just to clean the snow off a car, scrape the ice off the windshield, warm up the engine, and get ready to drive!

I can send out regular uninsured letters almost any day of the week, but insured packages only on my days off from work, for the reason explained above. Besides this, all of my more expensive  items are kept in the local bank, and I can only get these items out on a Friday evening (when the bank stays open a little longer for people to cash their paychecks) or on my days off during the week.

This is why I stipulate the five working day (Monday through Friday) order fulfillment time in my ebay listings.

I base my shipping charges on the cost of mailing at the local post offices, plus reasonable handling charges to help cover my costs; postage costs can vary from one post office and one clerk to another, and don’t ask me why!

Foreign buyers

If your address is outside of the United States, please contact me for shipping cost before completing your order.

Buyers outside of the United States must pay an extra $10 for Registered Mail or else accept the risk of non-delivery. The U.S. Post Office does not offer insurance on shipments to foreign countries unless the package is sent by Registered Mail (and up to a certain amount on flat rate priority mail packages). However, Registered Mail sent overseas can only be insured for up to $43.73. If a foreign shipment requires a customs form, it will be filled in with the actual sale price of the item or items listed on it.

Lost or damaged Insured shipments: If you receive your order in a damaged condition, it is your responsibility to open a claim at your post office, and turn over the package and contents to the U. S. Post Office. I can provide you with proof of insurance. When the post office issues a claim check to you, they keep the package and contents.  I will gladly sell you a replacement if possible, but you are free to do whatever you want with the money.

In my experience the post office very very rarely loses a package, but there are those rare times when items get damaged in transit.

Once a piece of mail leaves my hands at the post office, I have no control over it!

☺☺Ebay Checkout☺☺:

If you purchase more than one lot in my sale, please do not complete the ebay checkout until I have emailed you an invoice with the reduced postage amount. When you buy more than one lot, I reduce the shipping total, and if you pay for each purchase separately, I get charged an extra 30 cents for each item by paypal.  The fees add up quickly when I’m selling items for as little as $2.99 each! Otherwise I need to add 30 cents per item to the shipping cost.

What does it cost to sell on ebay?  Ebay charges me 12% on sales, which means for instance: on a $2.99 sale:

         I pay ebay ................. 36 cents,

                  paypal .............. 30 cents

           +  2.9%  to paypal .   9 cents

monthly listing fee .. 3 cents per item.

This means a cost of 78 cents on the sale of a $2.99 postcard, and that doesn’t even include my purchase cost, the cumulative listing fees of 3 cents per month, monthly ebay store fee of $15.95, and packaging materials.

☺☺Payment forms☺☺:

Please let me know at time of purchase which method you wish to use for paying.  Timely payment for items is appreciated!  I usually send out an ebay unpaid item reminder after a week or so if payment has not been received.

Paypal is a good system for buyers, paypal and ebay, and a costly one for sellers, who pay all of the fees connected with it!   Ebay does not like “dangerous paper payments” because then they do not collect the extra paypal fees.  They decided to force all sellers to go through paypal, which I understand is half-owned by ebay; no wonder!

☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺

Items are subject to prior sale in the very rare instance that I may forget to remove a listing after making a sale in my shop.

Seven-day return privilege on all items, return postage paid by the buyer, provided the items are returned in the same condition they were in when they were mailed to the buyer. It is the buyer’s responsibility to pay for insurance, or accept risk of loss or damage in transit.

I do not file feedback until you do, because I am not satisfied unless you are!
