Harlequin by Bernard Cornwell

Their Price : $29.99
Our Price : $12.99

Description : New Trade Paperback, 484 pages.
Condition : 2 - just a general guide is as follows - 1 = as new, 2=very good, 3=good, 4=reading copy.

The first in an epic new series, introducing a splendid hero, against the background of Europe in the Hundred Years' War. In the fourteenth century the English were just beginning to discover their national identity, and one of the strongest elements of this was the overwhelming success in battle of the English bowmen. England's archers crossed the Channel to lay a country to waste. Thomas of Hookton was one of those archers. When his village is sacked by French raiders, he escapes from his father's ambition to become a wild youth who delights in the opportunities which war offers -- for fighting, for revenge and for friendship. But Thomas is hounded by his conscience. He has made a promise to God to retrieve a relic stolen in the raid from Hookton's church. The search for the relic leads him into a world where lovers become enemies, enemies become friends and always, somewhere beyond the horizon that is smeared with the smoke of fires set by the rampaging English army, a terrible enemy awaits him. That enemy would harness the power of Christendom's greatest relic -- the grail itself. In this, the first book of a new series, Thomas begins the quest that will lead him through the fields of France, until at last the two armies face each other on a hillside near the village of Crecy.

Labyrinth Books Postage/Shipping Policy:

Single Items :

We ship via Australia Post Parcel Post Pre-paid Satchels and charge only for the cost of the satchels.
We make nothing out of postage on single item transactions.
Items come wrapped with cardboard backing to protect them in transit.
For items up to 500grams postage anywhere in Australia is $5.70.
This tends to cover almost all standard paperbacks (unless the item is unusually thick, eg. Clive Barker's Imajica at 1,136 pages). We do list page count on all single item listings so be sure to check.
For items over 500grams and up to 3kg postage anywhere in Australia is $9.10.
Most trade paperbacks and harbacks (and exceptionally thick paperbacks) will require a 3kg satchel. We indicate whether a book is a paperback, trade paperback (large paperback), or hardcover so be sure to check.

Items over 3kgs (eg. exceptionally large hardbacks) fall under the same postage policy as sets/multiple volumes (read below for details).

International shipping on single items will be charged at Australia Post shipping rates.
We make nothing out of international shipping on single items.

Sets/Multiple Volumes :

We sell lots of sets and they all have different postage costs depending upon the number of books and where they need to be sent. We do charge a $2 (Australian dollar) packaging fee for sets as they often require a bit of work to ensure that they are safely packaged and get to your door in the same state that they leave our shop.
Apart from the above stated handling charge we guarantee that you will not pay one cent more than the Australia Post shipping cost. Check the postage cost on your parcel when it arrives against our nominated postage cost (and minus the $2 packaging fee) and you will find it tallys exactly.
This applies to both Australian and International shipping.
