Dr Marc Seidman is shot in the opening pages of No Second Chance. His wife is murdered and his six month old daughter is kidnapped. Several weeks later, a ransom demand is made and Seidman's rich father-in-law coughs up $2 million.

The FBI are called in, and things quickly fall apart. There are many questions Seidman needs answers to. Is his drug addict sister somehow involved? Is his daughter still alive? What was the motive? And why did the FBI always know what he was going to do, even after he stopped cooperating with them?

No Second Chance is the type of book where you can't give too much of the storyline without spoiling the plot. But suffice it to say that even when you think you've got everything figured out, you'll still be totally shocked by the ending.
