Handcarved, handpainted 40 cm high bongo/ djembe drum

This drum was carved out of single piece of wood, which then had goat skin stretched over the top. It was hand carved in the village of Tegallalang, in the mountains of Bali, Indonesia. Decorative paintings on the base of the drum. All the decorations are in Australian aboriginal style (multicolored dots in shape of animals), but as they are all done individually, they are all slightly different. Fair trade: since we order and buy musical instruments ourselves - thus cutting out the wholesalers - we can ensure both that the craftsperson making the goods is well paid, and that the final price to our UK customers is competitive.
