This is a large pair of chateau chic antique French gilded bronze hinged curtain hold backs.

Measuring approx 14" long x 6" deep they are hinged so that they lay flat to a wall when not in use and give greater choice of drapery when in use.

Dating from the late 1800's they are in excellent physical condition with their as found uncleaned patina.

This is a particularly heavy quality pair at 320g each as they are solid bronze not pressed metal like some cheaper versions.

They have beautifully decorative fronts and Empire style brackets which have a bar on the back for fixing to the wall. This bar is stamped GH confirming their age and chateau chic quality.
