For sale is a HP iPAQ rx3417 Pocket PC/PDA, for spares or repair only.
Bought on this very site as a replacement for my now-largely-useless iPAQ h1940 (see my other items for sale) and used for a while, it was a faithful companion. Then one day it decided to stop working. It just won't power up. Initial research indicated there might be an issue with the power thingy on the motherboard. The screen was last working - I can't guarantee it still is, but I am fairly certain there is no problem with it.
I purchased a new battery to see if the problem was with the original, but no luck - so guessing there's no problem with the battery. Both batteries are included in the auction.
For the sake of honesty and completeness I must mention that the plastic screen outside the camera is cracked. However it did not affect picture taking, and the lens itself is fine. I struggled to capture it in a photo (see 3rd picture). Just so you know!
Comes complete with original packaging and all that was in the original packaging - including the CD/manuals (still in sealed shrinkwrap), all sorts of cabling, charger, HP protective leather-like pouch. Also included is a nice soft padded leather case, better than the stock HP one, with detachable belt clip. Who knows, maybe one day an aging PDA in a swish leather case hanging off your waist might well become fashionable.
If I can find the stereo headphones they will be included, but let's assume they're not (i.e. the above 'standard' list of included accessories furnished by eBay is slightly incorrect).
Not much else to say really! I have more pictures, but didn't put them up because they don't really show much else. I'm quite happy to send you more photos if you want.
Changes in my work situation, as well as my upcoming wedding(!), mean I have to sell a bunch of stuff (see my other items for sale). Starting price of 1p, no reserve. Hopefully someone can put this to good use!
I take PayPal, personal cheque, and cash on collection if you choose to collect. Or I can post it all properly packaged and what not upon cleared funds. I might even be able to drive/train to somewhere reasonable to drop off... so many choices!

Just to clarify - this item is being sold as is, for spares/repair/any other use you want to put to it - it is currently NOT a functional PDA (though maybe a good hard whack will get it working again? Who knows.)
