Advertising Postcard: Hovis Bread

In response to a competition in 1890, Herbert Grime won with the name Hovis, coined from the Latin hominis vis, meaning strength of man.

This is a brand new and unused glossy finish postcard. Part of the British Nostalgia range, this postcard is a high quality reproduction of a familiar advertisement or advertising poster from the past, and shows a fascinating insight into British life over the last 100 years. My eBay ID doesn't of course appear on the actual cards!

Postcard measures 4.25 x 6 inches.
