Here is a new print of a fantastic 1882 poster for the Horsman’s Lawn Tennis Company of New York.  The game of lawn tennis was in its first few decades when this poster was created.  What it captures says a lot about the origins of the game and a great deal about the fashion of the day.  Four men and women are playing a game of doubles as a group of spectators look on.  This is obviously a country estate and the players are wearing suits and long dresses as are the spectators. 

This is a fantastic poster and will make a great addition to any collection of tennis or clothing posters. 

This print is on a high-quality 100# glossy text paper.  The actual image measures 16.5” (w) X 9.25” (h).  The paper is 17” (w) x 11” (h).  Therefore, it has a small border to allow for framing.  When matted, this size is perfect for a standard 16” x 20” frame, a manageable size for a variety of decorating purposes.
