I have 2 SH125 scooters, and I am keeping one of them!
Please read ‘The story of 2 scooters’ below, to see how bidding will work. Don’t miss out!
This scooter is a 52 Reg and has covered only 7,200 miles. It’s an excellent runner, has never let me down, is fast and manoeuvrable, and comes complete with a Top Box as shown. All the instruments and lights work; there is a centre stand.
It comes complete with the original Handbook, Service Booklet, 2 sets of keys and Toolkit as supplied by Honda.
All the issues of a 5½ -year old bike
It was dropped on its right-hand side before I had it. This has resulted in the small scrapes I have tried to show in the photos: on the front mudguard, the end of the right handgrip, the edge of the fairing, and the side of the Top Box.
Also see the photo of the scrape to the left of the headlamp.
The headstock lock does not work - that’s the lock that secures the handlebars when they’re tilted over to the left. I have never mended this as I always use a big chain to secure the scooter to something solid!
It also has a broken plastic housing for a screw, so the scooter rattles if you go over potholes. However, the scooter sailed straight through a service and MOT test with my local Honda agent, so there’s no mechanical problem.
The Honda SH125
Is quick, reliable and economical. A tankfull of fuel will take you over 100 miles, then it’s about £7 to top-up, even at today’s prices! £15 Road Tax and cheap to insure.
Is practical, easy to ride and fun! It has the automatic gears, underseat storage and comfort of a scooter, plus the 16” wheels, quiet water-cooled 4-stroke engine and top-box of a motor-bike.
The story of 2 Scooters
I owned a 900cc Yamaha until it was stolen and trashed.
In order to get around, I bought a blue 52 reg SH125. It was great! It was cheap to run, had no problem with a 16-stone rider (me!), was nippy round town, had space for the shopping, and could overtake on Motorways.
I was so impressed, when a much newer white 07 model became available, I bought that too!
But now I can’t decide which one I like best! So, I’m putting both of them on eBay. I’ll sell whichever one gets the best offer, and keep the other.
eBay rules mean that I can’t end a listing within 12 hours of the end time, so:
AROUND 9pm ON SATURDAY 17th MAY, WHICHEVER SCOOTER HAS THE BETTER BID WILL SURVIVE, AND THE OTHER WILL BE WITHDRAWN.
This means - if you are interested in buying, please don’t wait until the last minute to bid! You’ll need to place a bid before 9pm on 17 May, or risk the scooter you are interested in being the one to be withdrawn.
Good Luck, and Happy Bidding!!
