HISTORY OF HOBART CABINET COMPANY:

Now in business for 100 years (since 1907), Hobart Cabinet Company has featured sturdy flat file cabinets for almost 60 of those years.   One of the most repeated phrases our Sales Department often hears is:  "I've always wanted a Hobart cabinet."  Now is your chance to own one at an excellent price! 

DESCRIPTION:

Drawers are 2" high (inside dimension) to allow for storage of documents, blueprints, or artwork.  Cases and drawers are reinforced for extra strength and durability, and make an attractive addition to any office or storage area.  They are perfrect for architectural drawings, artwork, maps, engineering plans, and large craft supplies.

The cabinet will stack on top of another Hobart Cabinet of the same dimensions, creating optimal storage in a minimum of space.

The outer 3-1/2"  height of each drawer creates ample storage space inside--2" of safe storage per drawer for your most important documents.  Stops prevent the drawers from being pulled loose by accident, yet each drawer can be removed, if you wish, by easily lifting upward.  Recessed drawer handles give the cabinet an attractive, modernized look, while centralized label holders offer instant identification of drawer contents.  "Hold-down bars" keep all documents flat and in place.  85% drawer extension--smooth rolling sturdiest of nylon rollers provides easy accessibility.

This particular cabinet had been damaged during handling.  There is a dented area at the top rear of the cabinet, which you can see in Picture #2 above.  It does not affect the performance of any of the drawers.  Also, it must have sustained a blow to the top right-hand corner of the front of the cabinet, because three of the drawers have outward dents on the top right-hand side, and the front facing has been slightly dented outward.  Please see Picture #3.  There is a scuff across the top, and also a small scratch.  These are minor, however.

All of the drawers work easily however, and this damage does not appear to impede their performance.

Durable powder-painted finish for years of use.   This cabinet has a finish of "Hobart Gray" which is a silver metallic with bronzish undertones.  (This is our "signature" paint color and the most popular one we sell!)   This finish is easy to care for--just wipe clean with a damp cloth!

It's important to note that even though our cabinets have 8 drawers, they hold approximately as much vertical storage capacity as other 10-drawer cabinets on the market, due to the fact that our drawers are taller.

Of course, the cabinet is completely assembled and ready-to-use.  

SHIPPING INFORMATION:

This cabinet will need to be shipped via LTL carrier or motor freight and weighs approximately 317 lbs. after packaging and being strapped to a skid.  (If you are interested in the base, add another 30 lbs.)  Please contact us by email so we can determine shipping costs to your location immediately.  We will need to know your zip code, and details such as do you need liftgate to get it down off the truck, and inside delivery?  (We can usually provide lift gate service at no additional cost!!)  Also, would it be delivered to a commercial or a residential district?   We give excellent discounts on shipping rates due to the quantity we ship.

Or, you may elect to pick it up yourself at the nearest terminal to you! 

We also offer "Will Call" pickup for local customers, by appointment only.  Our usual Will Call hours are 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.  We have convenient loading docks, one just the right size for van or pickup truck loading.  We will also help load the cabinet into your vehicle for you.
