Description:

For over 300 years, the many navies of the world served daily rum rations. The Ship's Purser served sailors from one to six 'tots' of rum, depending on the conditions of war and weather. The rum ration tradition continued until the 1960s. 

This reproduction is made in the time honoured way. Hand beaten brass, copper plated, polished then lined with silver . The rum cup measures one-half Gill.. the equivalent of one-eighth of a pint and is marked HMS on the bottom.
