HM COASTGUARD SAFETY AT SEA FOLDER. VARIOUS DOCUMENTS.

Here is an interesting pack of various items and documents mainly aimed at the Professional Fisherman.  Issued by The Maritime and Coastguard Agency the items include a postcard which highlights all aspects of safety before setting out, this item aimed at the weekend leisure craft user. There is a poster 42cm X 30cm titled 'When the tide comes in, the fish can swim free...your child can't' 'Always keep an eye on your kids at the beach'.

These following items are aimed squarely at the Professional Fisherman:-    A Navtex booklet with lots of information about Weather Forecasts.  There are 4 laminated wipe clean info sheets titled, Potting/Creeling, Flooding, Single Handed Operation and Machinery. These doubled sided sheets give an insight with case studies of what happens when things go wrong. On the reverse is two check lists with Getting it Right and Getting it Wrong as a simple reminder of all aspects of tasks.  Each sheet carries the slogan 'Keeps You Fishing, Keeps You Alive'  Lastly the pack includes numerous documents with information on subjects such as Marine Guidance Notes, Safe Fishing Guide, Government Funded Safety Courses For Fishermen and Contact details for all MCA offices in the UK. All of these items are in a folder to keep them tidy.  All in all some very interesting information for the fisherman or anyone with the sea in their blood.
