Large heavy books measuring 346 by 295 mm.
Half leather bindings, rebacked. Gilt spines. Rubbing to the covers, wear at the corners, leather is rubbed. Both have tidy and secure bindings with strong hinges.
All pages and plates present and accounted for with no loss. Some age toning and marking to the pages in places. Almost unnoticeable repaired tear to the inside of volume 1 title page with no loss.
The plates are in very good condition.
Volume 1 is a text volume, volume 2 contains the plates.
A truly superb work, stunning plates.
