Being offered on this auction is
antique creamer made by Herend,
Hungary.
This is a part of most popular Rothschild Bird collection. It features
nesting birds and insects. Creamer has embossed swirls and basket weave over
white body background and gold outline. There is a delicately attached celery-green
handle. The backside is marked with standard Herend blue mark used in c. 1915 - 1930. Other marking is mold number
‘1643/RO’ and number 73 written in blue as well as incised 1643 and ‘Herend’
on the backside.
This is a large creamer in
comparison with smaller items made by Herend. It measures about 2 5/8” in diameter and stands 3 ½” tall. Condition is immaculate with no cracks or chips found.
Colors are bright and vibrant. Gold has no wear. Please take a look at the pictures
