HELJAN CLASS 47 BR BLUE BODYSHELL - WITHOUT NUMBERS

This auction is for a Heljan Class 47 bodyshell only, in BR blue livery with a grey roof, marker light panels, headlights, and without radio aerial or cut away cab skirting. In other words it is in mid-1980s condition and is the only Class 47 body made by Heljan which portrays this livery/detail combination.

The bodyshell is a leftover from our limited edition model of 47596.

Numbers and nameplates have been very carefully removed, leaving little or no trace. Bodyshell comes complete with all glazing and handrails.

Heljan have themselves sold individual bodyshells of 47s for up to £40 each. We have already sold dozens of these shells on eBay and they have proven to be very popular with people who wish to renumber their models and increase their fleet of the ever popular BR blue era locos.

*** IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING POSTAGE AND PACKING:- Model is sold as "unboxed", however we have now run out of the small mailing boxes which we used to send these bodyshells in. We are now using the blue Heljan model boxes complete with foam padding and accessory packs. We will use this as the outer mailing box and seal it with tape etc. We have in the past been taken to task for spoiling these boxes even though the box does not form part of the subject of these auctions, so for cardboard box fans we offer a further option of enclosing the blue Heljan box within a larger brown cardboard mailing box. If you want this option PLEASE ADD AN EXTRA £1 TO THE P&P WHEN YOU PAY and advise us that this is your wish. ***
